10 days to go!

Yesterday I promised some more information about my learning stay in Britain. So, here we go:
This link brings you to a short film about the college where I'm going to have lessons. It's situated in Brighton in the south of Britain at the English Channel

If you have Google Earth - why not enter "BRIGHTON" and have a look at the location?
It seems to be a lovely place.

More next time,

Mrs. Bird

11 days to go!

From today on you can find this blog linked to the website of the Ernst-Benary-Schule, a vocational school in Erfurt where I'm teaching English as some (or most) of you should know.

You might ask why I'm doing this "exercise". Well, here is the answer:
There is the "LIFE LONG LEARNING PROGRAMME" by the European Union and they sponsor learning stays abroad for trainees and students, and also for teachers.

That's why I'm going to Britain: to improve my English and to get some new teaching ideas.
And this is what you could do as well: work and learn in another country - need not be Britain :)

Next time I'm going to tell you something more about my trip.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Bird

My first day as a blogger

I'm getting more and more excited: the school term is nearly over and my trip to the UK is getting closer:

On Sunday 10th July I'll be taking off at Frankfurt Main Airport to fly to London Heathrow.

I've started this blog to share my experience with my students and maybe some of my colleagues who would like to "brush up" their ENGLISH

If anyone should need help understanding the language here is a helping hand:

Kind regards,

Mrs Bird :)
